Union bosses have revealed details of a series of Tube strikes due to start in less than two weeks.
Tube drivers voted to strike over the "unfair" sacking of two colleagues, the Rail Maritime and Transport union said.
The union said the first walkout was planned for 16 May, with another five before the end of June.

Why can't they keep working and wait for the resuts of the inevitable Employment Tribunal? They may well have been unfairly dismissed but I wouldn't bet on it

Yawn. Id walk out but nobody would care.

The news story claims that London Transport stated that the drivers were sacked over "abusive behaviour" and "disregarding safety systems."
Seem perfectly valid reasons to me for doing so, especially with regard to safety systems.

>>Seem perfectly valid reasons to me <<
Whats validity got to do with sackings these days?

The tube drivers are the last survivors of the 'one out, all out' bad old days of British industrial relations.
In that respect, they are a national treasure and should be preserved in aspic.

The following quote sums it up:
" ...It was nothing more than how any football fan would behave at any important football match up and down the country".

"Yawn. Id walk out but nobody would care."
I'd walk out but it would mean having to put my pants back on.
