Why on earth would somebody do this?

I could half understand (wouldn't do it, but could understand the logic) if there was a break in the central reservation at that exact point, but there doesn't seem to be.

It also doesn't seem to be the one off actions of a confused/mad individual.

The same idiocy or ignorance as those who reverse to a slip road instead of going on to the next junction. Probably dont have the mental capacity to plan their way out of a room with one door.

Last week a person did a three-point turn on an A road just in front of me-50 yds. short of a roundabout!!

In the early days of the M25, and before I met her, SWMBO managed to do a U-turn on the M25!

I would like to say her driving has improved since then, but I have my doubts at times ... ;-)

well if she managed to complete the u turn with causing any accidents, I reckon she has great driving skills. I doubt I could do it without carnage.
