Recommendation - Tyre Supplier - Skoda
Only really relevant to Bobby, GlasgowBhoy, RichardW? Can't remember where you're from but got it in my mind it's nearby here? Lygonos? Zhukov, ON's a bit far away, can't think of anyone else locally.

Anyways, credit where it's due and all that... Was mighty impressed with cooper brothers in Newmains today. goo.gl/4yfS9

Besides a busted turbo actuator (as per thread in technical), my Mum ended up with a burst tyre today, non repairable. Took the wheel up to Cooper Brothers at Newmains. Excellent staff, real friendly caring types. Clean workshop. Even the floor jacks have pipe lagging zip tied round the handles to prevent banging metal handles off doors / sides of cars.

Goodyear 4x4 tyre supplied, fitted and balanced for £150 vs. Camskill supply + postage @ just over £160. MyTyres not even ball park competitive right now, what's going on there.

Found my new tyre supplier... :-)
Recommendation - Tyre Supplier - Lygonos
Within 25 miles of me, but I tend to get Michelins from Costco....

Cheers for that Skoda - I always use Auchinlea in Newhouse Ind Estate (previously Cleland) but I have previously heard good reports about Coopers.
Will certainly add them to the "to be phoned" list when I next need to change ..........
...... especially if it will be some sort of All weather tyre!

I'm in Lanark, so Newmains is not that far away. I've used Blackcircles recently, but I will give these guys a ring next time I'm in need.

I get new tyres from our local Ford franchised dealer. I know they will raise the car properly on a hoist, using hard rubber pads under all four jacking points in the sills. Their prices are within a few pounds of the cheapest. I wouldn't go anywhere which uses trolley jacks, even if they did have pipe lagging round the handles. There's no telling which part of the car they might put the jacks under.

Haha know where you're coming from Mr Snail. It's the reason i posted these guys. Noone under 30 i could see, all visibly careful in what they were doing, be it reversing a van out a bay or carefully putting a heavy large alloy on the tyre bead breaker machine.

Jeeps with chassis rails are easy to jack up safely but there were a few normal cars in too. Manual was fetched out the glovebox for a Honda Accord and the torque wrench reset.

I'm pickier than most, genuinely impressed, hence the recommendation.
