I saw an 09 registered MG two seater (TF)? today. is this liable to be a Chinese one or are there unregistered real ones still available?

Brand new cars, assembled partly in China and partly in Longbridge.
I looked at a TF at a local dealer a few weeks ago.
It seemed well-made, fairly simple inside with a manual roof.
Asking price about £12,000, which is cheap enough for a mid-engined convertible.

Edit: One innovation was a glass rear window - luxury.

The one I saw was silver with a black canvas roof, I was not close enough to see what the rear window was made of, and if it was glass it would not have registered as a change from the original one. I prefer estate cars, the TF does not quite qualify. :-)

...The one I saw was silver with a black canvas roof...
Almost certainly the MG 85th Anniversary car which they released in 2009.
It came in three colours, ice white, intense cassis, and enigmatic silver.
The silver car had a broad contrasting maroon stripe along the length of the 'bonnet', and over the 'boot' lid.

Nice to see people still have a sense of humour.
