It has only taken about 17 years, but arriving at Tel Aviv last night and expecting a Mazda6, I was given a Mondeo IV saloon. Never ever driven a Mondeo before!
First impressions (especially compared to the Saab 9-5).....
Huge boot!
Loads of interior room. Kids and Espadrille very happy even compared to a Maxda5 we usually get, but decided on a saloon this trip. Espadrille finds the car very long for parking.
The 30 mile drive from airport to flat indicated very comfortable and quiet car although 2.0 litre petrol attached to six speed slushbox was a bit sluggish unless driven manually through the tiptronic. Quieter than my S-Max. Great handling and roadholding.
Can see how top of the line Titanium X with the toys would be preferable to the Saab.
The Middle East is desperately short of water and there has been good rain recently in Israel although not enough yet. The roads were very wet when we arrived but today, dry, bright and 21C. Sorry guys!

I've never driven a petrol Mondeo, but the two litre diesel is certainly not sluggish! It would be interesting if you could somehow get a drive in one so that you could compare the two.

In February! We rarely see that in July!
