A handy mounting. - Old Navy
My car has both a 12v socket and a fag lighter in the centre console. While looking for somewhere to mount my (small) garage door remote control I decided that the redundant fag lighter socket would be a good location. I attached the remote holder to a plastic wine cork which fitted the fag lighter socket perfectly and the remote sits against the console. This may be useful to anyone who wants to mount something without damaging their dashboard.

I used to find that there was more room in the back seat for that sort of behaviour !

Some cars have a 12v socket in the boot if you are desperate to mount something, that requires wine cork sized equipment though. :-)

That's a very helpful bit of Blue Petering ON. What a time I shall have if I ever retire.

I never mastered the sticky backed plastic, the washing up liquid bottle space ship was no problem. I knew that all those years of watching BP would come in handy eventually. :-)

When my dad traded in his Peugeot 806, you would have struggled to find a part of his dashboard that wasn't covered in velcro!

Every gadget that would plug into a cig lighter, not to mention also the gel pad things to stop items rolling around.

Nightmare!
