Well finally got round to replacing the pollen filter in my Altea, have had some misting of windows so reckoned maybe worth doing.

Zero had previously emailed me the "how to do it" and I was able to do it in about 4 mins flat. Very simple, so well done to SEAT for that.

If only everything serviceable in cars was so simple - yet another bulb has popped on the wife's Beetle and they are a pain in the neck to do. OK they are starightforward in that the whole light units come in and out, but are held in place with simple plastic clips that get very brittle with old age and cold....

I now hope to find that fixing the rear washer in the Altea is just as easy..... (and yes, I realise the two issues may well be connected!)

Amen to that.

Well Beetle front indicator done.

A small plastic clip is prised off (from the surface of the lens) and behind it is a Philips screw. Undo that and whole unit comes out, change bulb and reverse the above process.
I think I nearly reached the 2 minute mark to do that.

Thats what changing bulbs should involve!!
