Got one today, for an elderly relative to use in an arm-chair at home. The massage bit is fine - that'd wake you up if you were feeling sleepy! However, the heating bit is rather less impressive. It whangs all of about 12W into a pad under your sit-upon, but does not heat the back at all.
Are there any heat cushions (with or without "massage") that hear the back as well as the bum?

Wow. Doesn't anyone have an "aftermarket" heated car seat thing?
I realise the above post could read as "indoors only" - however, these things are supposed to be for cars:

I bought one of those when they were first available at Lidl (or was it Aldi?). It was pretty good but, of course, didn't stay as neatly against the seat back as shown in the photograph. And there were wires all over the place. Quite complicated to operate too, if I remember correctly, as there were about 10 different combinations of heating/vibration available. As with lots of Lidl/Aldi stuff it is now taking up space in my shed.

The one I got had a simple control with an LED backlight, on/off button, heat on/off and "massage" programme. The heating function was disappointing o only for your "underneath", but the "massage" functions really quite surprising. The only thing wrong is that it does not put out enough heat (or in the right place) for someone who's got a bad back.
