Hi All

Sunday morning I’m going down to Louth in Lincolnshire, setting off around 5am from Darlington

Plan Is A1 south M62 East, and then M18, then I think the SATNAV will send me down the A18

Can anyone recommend anywhere to get a good breakfast – Sausage sandwich or something, especially that early in the morning or should I just get up earlier, and breakfast at home (cheaper)

The thing is, I dont like eating to early, as by about 10am im hungry again.

There's Barneys Cafe just as you turn off the M18 onto the A18 towards Louth. It comes up on the right, but I don't know if they open on a Sunday.

I can recommend them.

If they are closed, there is a Little Chef at the Jet garage the otherside of the M18 roundabout there too.

...there is a Little Chef...

Some people are a bit sniffy about Little Chefs, but I like them.

Free wi-fi in the last one I visited.

I like them, but sometimes i think they are a bit pricy for what you get.

That came, IIRC, when they came under new ownership. Up till then they had been great value for money.

Agreed, I sometimes economise by having my pancake just with ice cream instead of ice cream and maple sauce. :)

They are indeed open on a Sunday, I gave them a ring - only I shall call back when I go down in a months time as I slept in, and didnt have anytime to spare really, as I made it into Louth training centre with a couple of min to spare.

Its ok though becasue there was plenty of free Coffee and Biccies to make up for it.
