So just after midnight last night I hear the noise of a truck outside in the street.
Look out the window and there is my neighbour's car being reversed down off a low-loader recovery truck (911 for those who live locally).

Once it is reversed down my neighbour gets in it and drives it up her driveway. No obvious sign of any physical damage. Neighbour immediately went into her house, no thanking the recovery driver or any acknowledgement of him.

So what's your thoughts on what has happened?

It overheated and lost its coolant.

The recovery man advised it would be OK to start it for a few seconds just to move it off the road, but don't hang about.

They had already done all the thanking etc in the cab. It was freezing outside and he had a wife and family to get home to.

Ah ignoring the male maybe for any witnesses...i sense a bit of too much covering fire being laid down there, nudge wink.

Mind you lack of common courtesy or indeed wealth/social standing unrelated pig ignorance has reached epidemic proportions, so could be anything.

Pics especially unclad would be helpful.

I can confirm that they do the paperwork in the cab, so can get out and go inside - who would wanna wait outside when its like this anyway.

Well how boring.
Turns out she got a puncture and her spare was also flat. So got recovered back to her house.

I was expecting something a bit more juicy!

Instead of peeping out the window raid the fridge get a beer or have sex and stop been so miserable wondering what there upto.

Good idea. She had already driven some distance at a normal speed before slowing down to investigate, so 10 yards at 5 mph won't do any more harm.

You want lessons in noseyness ?
Come and see my next door neighbour. It's the house across the drive. Slam a car door and he's at the window. Get the shopping out...the same. Friends or relatives come and if he knows them....he's out before they can make my front door.
It's become a point of honour to avoid him !

Just before Chrimbo I drove other side neighbour's car down to the workshop to change a coil....my old Scenic. Owner came down to see how it was done. I had left the gate open for him....big mistake. Mr Nosey made at least 6 trips down with spurious enquiries...' Where can I get cheap oil ? '...' How much anti-freeze does son's car take ? '...etc.

Just wanted to see what was going on. No hobbies or interests..under 70 yrs old. Sad.

When I used to take my girlfriend home,a curtain across the road from her parents' house was always twitched-I started to carry a powerful torch in my car and shine it at the twitcher!

Not at all zero, was just going to bed, had put the lights out and could see flashing yellow strobe lights shining through, opened the blinds to see what was going on and thought it strange that a low loader was delivering an undamaged car that could be driven off and into a driveway!

We used to have a young neighbour who enjoyed undressing in front of her bedrrom window. .. It was fascinating how many curtains twitched..

Her bedroom was at the rear of their house... about 60 metres away but nothing if you have good eyeslight (and binoculars).

Some sod's wife complained and spoiled the show...

Some twerp (not the sort i'd want to share a tent with) masquerading as a lorry driver complained to the old bill when a woman drove her car alongside him and gave him a show... good girl, every proper red blooded bloke i know wished it was them.

In the ensuing case the complainant was named, quite sure every bloke who knew him said exactly what they thought of him.
