It's a gas, gas, gas.
Finally got my pimp mobile back after a week while they did the LPG conversion. I'm overjoyed. Maybe it's my imagination after driving a diesel Corolla but it seems to be even quieter than ever. I tried to start it twice while it was already running.
Anyway they've done a fantastic job, you can't tell whether it's on gas or petrol, no noticeable difference in power. The gas connection is next to the petrol cap behind the little fuel door so no ugly valves on show. A discreet little black thing with 4 LEDs hidden low on the dash behind the wheel tells me when it's on gas or petrol and indicates level of gas in the tank.
The tank is in the spare wheel well, so the spare is in the boot in a sturdy case rather like a bass drum. It's a big boot, so it won't be an issue for most of the time, might be a pain on trips to the lakes and wotnot.
Finally paid just over £800 in the end with the flashlube system which it needs to have according to the Lexus Owners Club. And I couldn't believe my eyes when I filled it up for £28.50. Result.

Great BBD.
I think they do run a bit quieter on gas. But just as well, near enough anyway.
Good investment for a wafting aficionado.

Lexus LS430 and I'm finally starting to fall in love with it. For the first time in as long as I can remember, today I actually looked forward to a reason to drive. I dropped the mother in law off round at the wife's sister's and then took a 10 minute detour home because I was enjoying listening to the aircon fans above the sound of the engine.
The last time I drove for the hell of it was a four or five years ago on Christmas day, I needed to move the car a few metres for some reason but wanted it to warm up before switching it off - so I drove aimlessly for 15 minutes, nobody else on the road at all, I totally wellied it. Fantastic.

You're bound to have enjoyed the drive if you're dropping off the Mother-in-law somewhere else :-)
Can't be many of those Lexus's in Poland can there? Must stand out from the crowd. A RHD import presumably?
