There's one of the traffic cops shows on telly just now, they've used the old faithful stinger a few times to great effect.

Run flat tyres are fairly common now. I guess that means the stinger's not as good a proposition as it was previously? Still worth a try as a matter of course anyway?

Do any forces use any other devices? I remember there was a net system that entangles itself around the front wheels, is that in use yet?

If all runflats are anything like the ones on my friends BMW, they'll probably wear out prematurely and shred all by themselves saving the police having to do it!
