Listen to the soundtrack on this - The Germans out to beat the Japanese by making a bike sound as if its got soul......looks big - but guaranteed to be a dynamic delight. Check out the "angel eye" lights..got to hand it to them !

OK I suppose. It's got an interesting turbine like hum, but I reckon sixes should YOWL!
|
Knowing BMW it will have a yowling capability. On my 1200RT there is an electronically controlled by-pass valve that opens a valve in the exhaust complex at a smidgen above the EU's sound measuring speed - it unleashes a rather better sound from the twin....my guess it will yowl !

Sounds more like a cross between an old Kwack Z1000 and a Super Dream to me!
|
It's either a very narrow 6 or they've disguised that width very well. Note the ends of the block though, right in line with the bodywork - wouldn't fancy dropping it. I'm sure there will be plenty of takers I'm just not convinced that there's a need for a 6 cylinder bike. Handsome though, but there are few bikes I don't like the look of.

Well with its angel eyes it looks like an OWL from the view of the front.

...I but I reckon sixes should YOWL!...
The price will be enough to make anyone yowl.
Aren't they talking twenty grand?

Where did you get your umlaut from PU? I'm a bit jealous.
|
Needless to say I cheated. I knew it was meant to have one and looked wrong without one, so I Googled it and cut and pasted it - as I say if in doubt cheat.
|
PU,
As a Mac/Firefox user, you have the option of 'special characters' in the edit menu.
There's hundreds in there, punctuation, different languages, mathematical, technical, even Braille.
|
I know iffy - it was quicker and more satisfying the way I did it...

As good a way to do it as any.
It can be quite difficult to select what you want from the grid of symbols in Firefox.
|
I'm actually quite disappointed. I wanted one. I feel slightly abused to be honest. Not at all sure about all this anymore. I'll just away and put the kettle on. Probably it'll pass...Not good....not good at all.
|
An Ümlaultess man, that's a sad sight.
|
Some of us have got it Hümph, and some of us havent.
|
You impossible man ! At least I've got my apostrophe ! Tell me now, at once !
:-)
|
My Firefox is in Welsh so I can't tell you. In fact it's now called Llwynogdan or summat !
|
Had to find out so...use the keystrokes "Ctrl+Shift+:" to denote that you want an umlaut, and then press the vowel. This will place a lower-case umlauted vowel letter like ä, ë, ï, ö or ü.
Use the keystrokes "Ctrl+Shift+:", but hold down the "Shift" key to denote the umlaut in a capital letter. This will place a capital vowel like Ä, Ë, Ï, -- or Ü.
So there it is.

How about .|.. (-.-) ..|.

Something like this might attract attention: www.vintagebike.co.uk/galleries/soundfiles/1967%20Honda%206.mp3
Mind you, it did 18,000rpm which wasn't bad for 1966/67.
|
That's what I mean by a YOWL!
|
How about a Royal Enfield (modern version)
www.royal-enfield.com/bulletclassicvideo.html
It really does sound like he's giving it the beans... Paaaarrrrrrrrrpppppp!
|
Blame it on the Eurocrats ! Bikes have to have a decibel rating of I think 87db during a ride past test. My wheelie bin's rated at 89db...
|
>>My wheelie bin's rated at 89db...
I thought you had a higher opinion of your wheels. ;>)
A near neighbour's got an Enfield with that lovely TWANG to its exhaust note.
