Is that a UK based list?

If so it misses lots of cars... Just two for starters, both Skodas, my Roomsters' figures are better than many of them, and the Fabia Greenline Estate is miles better than the Prius... Why the heck is that first?!

There are loads more around... No criticism meant of you for posting it, Dog, it just annoys me when these things are done in such a bad way...

(I've just found them in the all cars section... their info is out of date, thats why! Its still a very strange list for the economy cars, though, so many missed out...)

My Panda is not listed either, never fails to go below 40mpg even in traffic with all the electrics on. Official combined is 68mpg but realisticaly on the Panda site most people get 50-55mpg on the motorway.

It seems their stats are a little out of date because they seem to be going off the pre 'Eco' engines which had a lot worse MPG figures.

Not in daily use but once on a extra urban trip I got 66 mpg. on my short urban trips (3 miles) I got 59 mpg summer and 39 mpg this last month (winter), averaged 54 mpg last 6.5 months mostly short urban use.
Bear in mind the Prius is a petrol auto family sized hatchback and comparing like for like there isn't another petrol auto family sized hatchback that will touch it on economy, even the diesel autos are nowhere near.

I really wish they'd start producing decent small diesel autos... the choice is very limited at the moment and I'd like one at out next car change next year!

The Golf estate DSG auto shows an average MPG of around 55mpg which would give the Prius a run for its money, K, especially if the car is used for more "normal" use than yours where you are using it in its comfort zone of mainly short urban use... An full electric car would be more suited to your use, surely, and a damn sight more economical?

(BTW what is a "Full" Hybrid when its around? (as per one of the adverts for one of them) - how you can have something "full" when its neither one thing nor the other?!)

I think the convention is that it is a "full" hybrid if capable of running on the battery and electric motor only.
