Lunacy. Can only hope is a pole they hit rather than someone else as they dont look very competent.

I've been to a few events where guys have shown real skill (on a track) and it's a joy to watch. Must spend an absolute fortune on tyres though!

Actually, they look very competent. Its very hard to drift, at high speed, and keep the car going in a straight(ish) line.

Much easier to do the standard donuts type drifting.

However, public road with innocents around? complete madness. Surprised the cops didn't shoot them. (tho they may have been connected - was that a cop that backed off? I wonder why)

They didn't keep it the right way round a lot of the time though. If your going to attempt this on a public road you better damn well be 100%.

Yeah, I wondered about this. Maybe deemed it safer not to start a high speed chase?

I have seen a few of these videos (and laughed).

Although funny I do wonder how many innocent people get hurt by this.

Drifting cars in Japan seems to be a sponsored motor sport in its own right.
