 Poseur ! - Ted

Saw tne publicist Mr Clifford interviewed bieifly on the news today.

He stood to one side of the shot so a car parked behind him with it's front towards the camera was clearly visible.
It's reg no. was RR60 MAX.

Now, I wonder what make and age it was and who it belonged to !

If you've got it...flaunt it !
Sadly, I haven't.

I wonder if that was about Shaun Ryder, probably not. More likely about some footballer. RR60 MAX I guess it was a Roller then.

Rolls-Royce Ghost, a quick search tells me. Clifford's acting on behalf of the husband who's been arrested on suspicion of his wife's murder on honeymoon in SA.

"Such has been the speculation in South Africa and Britain about who might be responsible that Mr Dewani has hired the publicist Max Clifford to cope with the intense media attention."

You cynic Ted. How could you suggest he be less than RR clean?
He just happened to peer over his shoulder and notce a nice motor which everyone might appreciate. He is a thoughtful soul who looks out for the greater good of everyone (especially the affluent).

So not only a Rolls Royce but a nearly new Roll Royce then with an RR60 MAX plate. Registered in Reading then.

...Yes, bit spivvy though...

In one sense, yes, but few spivs are so successful at what they do.

Who you gonna call?

Max Clifford.

I was wondering last night who he reminded me of last - then it dawned on me...

So does the man drive a Rolls Royce, Range-Rover, Robin Reliant, C-Max or S-Max??

The Ghost could well be piloted by a chauffeur.

I can just see Clifford in the back, pulling strings, doing deals, a la Sir Lord HRH (almost) Alan Sugar.

A quick google confirms he was diagnosed with epilepsy in his late 40s and had his license suspended as a result. He may subsequently have got it back subject to treatment and the condition stabilizing.
