In the Mirror today is a coupon for a mot at kwik fit for £25.00 they must be desperate for customers after there bad publicity on Watchdog!!
Id still take mine to local dealers and pay full price £55.00ish rather than let these lot try to find something to rack up there bill.!!
Also they offer 20% off servicing so are you taking yours there? Im not................
|
Not in a million years. If it was 20% of an oil change I might think about it for the Fiesta.
|
80% of the Fiesta's oil is OK, is it, Rats?

I had the Volvo's first two MoTs done at two different Kwikfit branches under similar promotional offers. It sailed through both, and I was treated courteously and put under no pressure to replace brakes, number plates, coffee dispenser or anything else. I can understand the suspicion but I'd go there again.

Had MOT at LF under offer: Great.
Servicing? Nope...
|
Kwick fit for servicing - I would never let them near it, ever
Its either the manufacturers dealer or a very trusted indie who do my servicing - no-one else
|
Recession is hitting. Cost of main dealer servicing for Mrs VW is now very competitive. £119 for intermediate service and £220 for full service. Factoring in the good service, free coffee, wash & vac, and courtesy car then its become a no brainer.
Wouldn't trust my local kwikft with anything TBH, but I guess all branches probably vary and there are good and bad ones.

Any business is only as good as the quality of its employees.
|
Aye it totally depends on the branch you use.
Baillieston KF == ace, absolutely excellent. It's the manager, he's ace and all his staff follow suit. Really good guys to deal with.
Motherwell KF == crap, with one or 2 good guys.
I waited in the reception and the leading light there was condescending to everyone who came in. He met his match in an old woman right enough, she put him straight. For 5 mins anyway. I could see one of his younger guys jacking up a Ford Fusion by the sill and with no wood / rubber between.
The old boy that handled my MOT that day was cut from a different cloth though, nice guy.

Wasn't the founder of Kwik Fit a Born Again Christian? Does he still have anything to do with the business?

Tom Farmer is not,I believe a BaC - he has always been a deeply commotted / confimed RC.
He is also the 80%+vowner of the Hibs FC - his prayers have not been answered on the football field however.
