My daughter informs me that the site is blocked at her work place due porn content.
I have looked at a lot of items and all are suitable for granny.
Just a warning for all viewing at work!

The device fitted to the current Octavia is also superb (pun) and ,with the screen display , gives me lots of confidence. The after market beepy things are useless and easily confused. Like me.

Thats a natty little conversion, electric motors presumably.

GWSS, we've got good quality aftermarket sensors front and rear on the pick up, they really are very good accurate and reliable dashborad countdown lights and beeper, it was an expensive kit and fitted by a competent sparky...cheap and nasty fitted in ten minutes might not be much use i grant.

Intrigued by what you might have in the Octavia, i drive lots of new cars and many have rear cameras, for the life of me i can't see what all the fuss is about and i wouldn't give a thankyou for one...that might be me not used to them of course.

The Octavia gives a simulated coloured plan view on the LCD radio screen (I've got the standard reversing system only) which gives warnings round the rear corners as well.
I had a system approved by Hyundai fitted to my coupe. Not cheap. Spent most of its time alerting me about gravel and missed warning me of a dry stone wall.Mea culpa.

Sounds like the sensors were fitted wrong way up or badly spaced/specced, common problem apparently...my sparky must have spent an hour measuring and repositioning before starting to drill the holes.

Octavia sounds intersting, i seldom have anything to do with VAG group cars and haven't seen this.

I take your point - but I can not see anything within several metres of my car at certain points .l learned to drive in a Triumph Herald , now that had superb all round visibility.

Along with, I believe, the tightest turning circle ever achieved in a production car.

...tightest turning circle...

You had to be careful not to snap a stub axle on full lock.

Fair comment, GWS. I suppose that the modern design of cars has necessitated reversing aids as all those stylish, good to look but massive C pillars don't half get in the way.
