Let's Go Offroading! - Glaikit Wee Scunner Snr. {P}

We were in the middle of a very pleasant, relaxing walk in the beautiful Derbyshire sunshine. Just finishing off our sandwich lunch leaning against a gate on a quiet bridleway. When I heard a rumbling sound coming down the track behind the thick holly hedges A red Chevrolet Kalos popped out and came to a halt. A young girl driver with a child looked very lost. SWMBO asked her what she was looking for. A car boot sale- did we know where it was? Mental titters from me. Well straight ahead of her the lane plunged down muddily to a ford and to the right was a narrowing lane with a house in the distance. I recommended she turn back the way she came -but the look of horror, muddy tyres and the scratches both sides of the gleaming paintwork told a tale. Off she went on the narrowing lane and we followed. Amazed that the car actually got through, track was less than 6’ wide, bordered with a ditch. So it’s not just sat navs that lead people astray, but plain old stupidity.
