Insurance with points on licence? - Fursty Ferret
Not me, but my sister - she's now got 9 points on her license and her insurance is looking a bit steep. She also has a slightly chequered history with accidents (though not all her fault!).

1 x SP50 (SPECS)
1 x Red light camera

Are there any insurance companies out there that tend to specialise in this sort of thing, or any brokers? Mind you, from an insurance point of view her policy is still cheaper than mine with a clean licence, 4 years no claims, and no accident history, and she's 3 years younger. :-)

Are there any training courses that an ins co might recognise and knock something off the premium for passing?

I know if you've got RoSPA or IAM you get ~15% off with some ins co's and i believe it's a real ~15% off, not just money off an inflated number.

Might cost more to get through the course than the savings she'll make right enough but might help repay by avoiding future tickets.
