What do your family members drive? - Stuu
A sort of follow on from Rattles post.

My mum still has her 2005 Hyundai Coupe V6, my dad his 2009 Daihatsu Materia.
My sister drives an aussie spec 2008 Toyota Camry. The only other family members I can think of are my aunty who drives a 2003 Jag X-Type diesel and another pair who have a 1998 Daihatsu Sirion auto. An uncle also has a newish Nissan Micra.

Could be a long list depending on who you count as family. Sadly my grandad died five years ago, my grandma dosn't drive, my grandpa had to give up about ten years ago due to all the supermarket crashes.

Anyway:-

Dad - R reg Fiesta 1.3 Ghia, mother and sister don't drive.

Uncle - 05 (I think) plate Skoda Suburb MKI 1.9TD (older VAG engine) had it for years and it must have some mega milleage on it now.

Another uncle - No idea despite only living five miles away I just have no idea what they drive!>

Uncle - BMW 5 series I am not sure what reg is it but its quiet new, it was newer than his old 53 reg one. The engine blew up though so he is having to get a new one fitted. I think he is doing some of the work himself. His wife has a Mini.

Another uncle (dads brother) drives a 56 reg Focus Ghia.

One cousin (out of 13) drives a BMW Z3, his brother has a Skoda Fabia VRS. No idea what my other cousins all drive.

Most the women in my family don't drive even if they have licences.

OK, join the club:

No 1 son and DiL - 02 Peugeot 307 diesel which they dislike - replaced a much more popular 306 XTDT which someone ran into and wrote off. Possibly an Octavia next,or somethiong like it with room for our one-year-old granddaughter's gubbins.

No 1 daughter - 2009 1.3 Yaris - her fourth in a row.

No 2 son - 2000 NI registered Fiesta 1.25 - no trouble so far - fiancee has an R-registered Honda CRX which is probably gaining in value.

No 2 daughter - married 10 days ago - they have a 2007 Renault Twingo 1.2 petrol turbo which has done them well but SiL is looking for something faster.

Ted,

That may be so, but you've got plenty of chums on here.

Mrs. H has the lions share of the i10, since she's far too much of a biker to be seen dead on my scooter!

Future s-i-l and daughter have a Galaxy, did have a Mondeo but their continuous breeding forced them into an MPV; s-i-l is a Ford technician so it's a logical choice.

Son doesn't have a car at the moment, not sure what his girlfriend drives.

Sister and brother-in-law in Canada have a Lexus MPV thingy, nice but bland.

Mother-in-law (ab)uses some sort of Daewoo; it has to be automatic since she'd otherwise drive everywhere in second gear, I suspect Jasper Carrott was her driving instructor!

Dad-in-law has a Focus estate.

Dad - '05' Chevrolet Tacuma 1.6. Not as bad as you may think.
Mum - sadly no longer with us. She had a driving licence but never, ever drove. Odd.
Pa-in-law - no longer drives due to several mini-strokes.
Ma-in-law - '58' Toyota Yaris.
Brother (hello Dieselboy!) - '02' Alfa Romeo 2.4 JTD Sportwagon, which I secretly (well, not so secretly any more!) covet.
Step-daughter - '08' Nissan Micra with lovely tweed-effect upholstery. Apparently, it's cool in an ironic way. Kids, huh?
Step-son - has a driving licence but doesn't need a car at the moment.

Boxtserboy - your number one brother sounds like an interesting type. That's quite a collection!

SWMBO - Yaris 1.3.

Sister in Law ( SWMBO's sister ) Audi A2

Brother in Law Audi Q5 ( Brand spanking new ...)

66 year old Brother is a complete hooligan and drives an ex boy racer Fabia VRS complete with light up sign in the back which says 'Kiss my VRS' when he touches the brakes :0) ...... he had it for months before he realised!

......he also has huge Merc Camper van for his constant tours around Europe in his retirement with sister in law with a big Yamaha M/C on the back for getting around when he's parked up.

53 year old younger brother drives Golf I believe but I very rarely see him these days.

...brother drives Golf I believe but I very rarely see him these days...

I thought I'd not be the only one with some familial difficulty answering this thread.

Older banking brother has 2008 Honda Civic auto, and a few-weeks-old Panda auto as his station car.

Middle computing brother - who I rarely see - probably still has a Saab which is a few years old, and a Honda Pan-European motorbike.

Not alot of family on my side (orphan, no siblings). *sniff*

MiL has a 2000 Accord that's tipping 140k with no sign of anything bad going wrong.
BiL doesn't drive (lives in London)
Wife's cousin = 58 Yaris (dented- it was a running family joke that she bumps so often that her local body shop gave her a loyalty card)
Wife's uncle = Is250 and a new Goldwing. He's a bike tart, chopped in a nearly new FJ1300 for the latest bike. At least he can't get anythig bigger now..
Wife's aunt = old merc saloon (hubby's a cabbie) and an 04 Avensis
Wife's cousin = Volvo S40 about 03, cost a fortune to buy (Ireland's like that).

Oldest stepson bought our from-new 2002 1.0 Yaris off us.

Other stepson, the drummer in a metal band, is doing his best to break his S reg 1.0 Corsa (bought 5 years ago?), but it still seems to be going strong. It's had an underbonnet fire and only intermittent servicing, along with being driven up and down the country with full drum kit and assorted hairy band members. But it refuses to die.
