Outrageous ! The poor clamping firm may be going through a lean time soon, with new regulations coming in.
To remove their van like this has, no doubt, made a large dent in their income for the day !
Just how are they expected to survive in business if this sort of thing goes on?

I notice it says one of the clampers 'stuck a finger up' at the council employees.

Do them for breach of the peace (or whatever it is these days) as well! I'm damn sure if I stuck the finger up at a council employee plod would be around in minutes to swab my dna.

Wish i'd been there, a small serving of justice to be savoured for it's rarity.

short lived i suppose, they'll up production to pay for the 'clerical error'.
