my knowledge of such is minimal..about to drive back from northern C Blanca where i’ve been for the past two weeks since arriving from Salamanca.
I have two Norwegian friends in my walking group who drove down from Stavanger in their new electric BMW X1 type ( it’s called something similar). He was telling me the car tells you where the charging places are, and what speed of charger they are. That seriously impressed a Luddite like me.
Kudos to them for driving all that way in an EV. It’s not for me…i’ll stick with gasolina for the time being. No idea how much they pay for the leccy en route.

There's any number of apps which can give you a route depending on how much you want to start with, end with, how frequently you want to stop etc etc etc. You don't have to have a BMW for that :-)

I think most ICE car drivers are fairly ignorant about driving an EV. Perhaps everyone should perhaps hire one for a day or take one for a test drive to check the reality against the myths.

1) The Chargers are working ?
2) Are the chargers free to plug into without waiting in a queue?
3) Cost per KWh would be handy

My BMW tells me where the nearest petrol stations are…

Norway leads the world in EV adoption so not a big for them to drive long distances.
The car's Nav guiding to EV chargers is pretty standard on EVs that have built-in navigation. If not, there are various Apps that do it too.

Aye - pretty much standard now.
I think all of my EVs and PHEVs since 2017 had this built in to the Nav.

There are a couple of apps that’ll also do the job - ABRP is effective.
Tell it what car you have, the state of charge you’re setting off with, the minimum charge to which you want to drop and obviously a destination.
I plotted home (Oldham) to Inverness in a Renault 5 and got the following -
A stop at Gretna for 7 minutes, Abington for 16 minutes, Perth for 23 minutes and arrival to Inverness with 12% charge.
At every stop I can see the cost, how many are currently available, if any are out of action (very rare nowadays) and what facilities are available.
I’ve no experience of EV driving on the continent, but don’t think twice now of doing longer trips in the UK and letting the car make the decisions.
