Has anyone any experience of selling a car with motorway?

Elderly Relative has asked around and local dealers offering what we think are very low prices. Even WBC were better but retail price different for a 4 yr old car is immense. It has 4 main dealer services good tyres no MOT advisories and 1 very minor blemish lower right front bumper.
26000 miles 1 owner.
One said £500 off for refurb alloys but we used a cleaning spray after that and they all look fine to us no kerbing either.

I've used them twice, earlier this year as part of 'fleet rationalisation where we went down to 1 car, a Skoda Superb estate, selling my Fabia and Mrs B's Berlingo at the same time.

Full thread with both mine an other's experiences here:

In summary the Fabia, 2016 petrol estate with average miles fsh went for a sum close to what was predicted after we'd sent pictures. Buyer was a company specialising in VAG group cars who fixed the glitches, mostly a damaged seat bolster, and shifted it quickly.

Berlingo, 2013, diesel 2.0 HDi/115, c140k with fsh - we owned from new - a bit more of a mixed story. Buyer was an outfit specialising in high end sports cars, we assume he was buying for a friend. His rep was a bit over enthusiastic trying to find faults including a non existent oil leak, and offered us an insulting amount.

Eventually, with some fairly assertive stuff line of if that's all it's worth we'll keep it, got them up to £1000 and let it go as was fed up of faffing.

Could have got a bit more from WBAC but hey ho it's gone now.

I looked at this and thought Hmmm..
So
logged in did all the bits honest about condition, upoaded service history and photos and documents.
For the Korando £1300 more than WBAC. £600 more than a potential trade in.
Offer accepted.

Why the sudden change of mind..???

Just one car in future. No more EU driving. Insurance costs fuel and the rest for 2 cars plus breakdown cover all adds up and the Halo effect of 2 cataract ops driving at night is no fun anymore with the light wars.
Plus absolutely hating driving anywhere but locally too.

See what happens on collection day.

May not renew license in 17 months time and the price is good to say goodbye with.

So are you sticking with just the Note (from memory?) ORB?

This site is a lot harder to post from a mobile.

Or is it just me?

What type of problems y'all having?

"What type of problems y'all having?"

When I'm just reading I have to view in landscape, but posting it's easier in portrait. It's all down to the size of the font. i.e. it's very small. It's the only site I have an issue with and just assume it's down to the age of the software. Unless you know of anything I can do in settings that won't b****r up everything else?

Ah!, yes there is no mobile format of the forum that kicks in, so you have to pinch zoom in and out and/or auto rotate landscape to navigate. As we essentially live on here on a bit of spare hardware at a web hoster, it wont be changed.

Designed in a time before smartphones. I wasn't anticipating a fix although I have to say I was impressed with the speed the new sign up issue was resolved by Smokie and the techies.

... and when comparing prices don't forget there are no other costs with Motorway, whereas here are with WBAC. From memory about £50 transaction cost and £20ish for fast payment.

However the Motorway initial quote is just that - when it goes to auction you'll be told what the best offer is, and you can choose to accept it or not at that point.

I know, but M'way are less than Wbac for faster payment. and The difference is striking,

I think we'll give it a go but be there at handover for the relative, The M'way estimated price is about a£1100 more than WBAC and the inferred deductions that they can make.

Why might you not renew your (pedant mode) licenCe?
 Experience of Motorway - ORB>>
Youngrovergirl is not happy. She has a full uk licence but doesn't like driving the Korando.. too big...

Likes to be chauffered. Uses the venga locally for shopping etc...
