Noticed the other day on my rear passenger door that there are a couple of indents on the internal door panel.
Couldn’t work out what had caused it. It is the door that my granddaughters baby seat is at but at no point, or in no position, does it actually touch the door.
Then today I noticed the carry handle of the baby seat was indented as well and that is hard plastic and actually looks like it has semi melted!
I can only think that because I have a panoramic roof, and on the seat behind the car seat there is one of these headrest mirrors so that I can see her through my rear view mirror. I reckon the sun has caught this at a bad angle and basically melted the seat handle and caused the door panel damage as well.
A close call for something that could have been worse I guess but even stranger cos the actual mirror is cheap, it doesn’t feel like glass and it’s all scratched and actually not very good at what it was supposed to do!

Moorland fires are sometimes caused by discarded bottles. They are not produced for their optical qualities either!
