£21,600 for a Puma EV from a broker - cheaper than the ICE versions

Apparently a very efficient car, and with big battery buffers (43kWh usable from a 53kWh pack) which should mean excellent longevity, and solid rapid charging until full.

Does anyone know the full criteria for the level of grant? I understand it is down to location of assembly, sourcing of components etc., but how is it calculated? AIUI the e-Puma and e-Courier are made in Romania (or is it Spain?) so why are other European assembled sub-£37k EVs not entitled to the same £3,750 grant?

Surely a bit range limited with that small battery? But ideal for many.

EDIT: I take that back, their figures show they are squeezing quite a few more miles than mine from a much smaller battery than mine. I suppose that's progress (or marketing maybe??)

Battery Capacity 53 kWh total / 43 kWh usable
WLTP Combined Range Up to 376 km (234 miles)
Urban Range Up to 523 km (325 miles)
DC Fast Charging 10–80% in ~23 minutes (up to 100 kW)

That’s fantastic value. Not much more than a the price of a coffee a day.

Blimey that's cheap, and for a second car ideal.

It is yes, i bet they won't have many at that price.
I wonder if the chinese brands are pushing prices down.

Its to push excess stock out the door, note its a two year lease with 5k pa. Two years is time to buy a second hand one with under 10k miles on the clock, now they will be cheap.

Wrong timeframe for me, I'm still years away from getting an ev. But cheap for those that are.
