I guess the insurance company will want it back and he will need to get the money back from the dealer he bought it from.

Perhaps the police should be investigating the dealer.

Saw one of these YouTubers Mark McCann explain the latest cloning.

Basically the thieves get the identities of UK cars that have been exported out of the country and then they fully clone the stolen car to have that identity, knowing that it will never meet its real twin!

Some times I feel life was simpler when you just removed the HT leads or battery when you parked up!
