Estimating 80-90£k. It will make that and more.

Kidney territory :)

Seriously quick and rarer than a sierra cosworth. You’ll need both feet to push the clutch down on this 6 speed Corvette gearbox.

I loved the Carltons, one of my favourite cars was a 2 litre CD estate I had for a while in 1989/90. Plenty fast enough for me, I think those 8 valve horsepowers were better than the later 16 valve ones on the Omegas somehow. I think I'd buy one now if I could. The estate had manual rear suspension levelling, that I thought very amusing - you just connected an airline and blew it up.

Mine was gold.

Probably wouldn't want to run the Lotus Carlton, and it's quite possible it that being so good, and valuable, it will be preserved rather than used.

We ran 24V Senators back in the day. There would be some similarities with the Carlton. They were quite a beast and 150MPH + was achievable - allegedly.

Same platform I think, although the body was different. I quite fancied one of those but it was out of my reach. And I liked my estate.

Thinking about it, it probably went so well with 115hp because cars didn't weigh very much then. About 1300Kg I think, very little more than our Roomster.

Yep I bought a Senator 2.4 after a run out in a police 3.0. Later upgraded to an Omega MV6 (3.0l) which did reach 150 (on the autobahn of course) but the fuel needle dropped sooo quickly! At times it felt like a tank but it handled really well, like it was on rails. Also had beautiful Irmscher alloys - this is the best pic I can find - they looked better IRL!! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254209493805

A neighbour had one in the 90s. He called it the flying fag packet (you may get that reference) he chopped it for a Honda NSX (one of two in the neighbourhood) a little more subtle.

How I lusted after an NSX. Preferably red. Back in 90s, pre unpleasantness, I could have afforded one.
Post unpleasantness I treated myself to a new Mk1 Elise ( R575 GYG) as an NXS was a long way out of my budget, even renting in Keighley !!

One of the NSXs was owned by quite a well known business man with defence contracts....
