I need to make a petrol pipe it uses 1/4 BSP thread to 5/16 copper pipe, I have the pipe and flaring tool just need the 2x nuts.
Tried plumbing places & trying Hydraulic place now do you know any car shops that sell this stuff?

Motorbike shops can source hydraulic pipes and ends, and one might think, petrol pipe ends.

Yes they do, but I would advise on that advertises 'bikes & trikes' or something like that.
A main dealer wouldn't be as likely to do them.

Car shops making up their own lines. Aircon suppliers/fixers. Ebay. Search www.bes.co.uk/ for "1/4 BSP".

Are these what you're looking for, Big ?

Sorry it's a bit blurred. Spanner size 5/16 Whitworth.
Pipe hole 9.8mm
I assume they're BSP.......Jowett fuel pipe. Early 1950s.
I have a few if the size is right for you.

Thats the type of thing but pipe hole is 5/16 which is approx 8 mm & it has to be 1/4 bsp.
It's for LISTER D Staionary engine www.engineweb.co.uk/listerd1929.htm
The one above is better than the one i have but in time it will be like this.

That's going to be great project BTee! Hope you get all you need to see it thru!

I bought it with no compression i took the head off expecting piston shot but found a sticking valve, So im to remove the 2x valves grind them in and give the head a good clean & lube the rockers and put it back on with the original head gasket.
I know it should have a new head gasket but it's just to get some compression to see if it runs after all it's not a car!
Then take it from there it will be stripped but if rings and piston is servicable it will all go back in after all a new set is £70.00.
It's my little winter project the only thing holding me up is the fuel pipe i will use temporary fittings to get it to run with rubber pipe and have some 1/4 BSP straights to use untill these nuts appear, found a site earlier £3.50 each.

First hit from a Google search for "5/16 pipe" AND "1/4 BSP"
