Just discovered this on my wife's new (to her) G30. Press a soft button on the screen when reverse is engaged and it reverses along the same "track" as it last drove forward. What a feature...will have some fun with this next time I encounter the milk truck or a mega tractor on the lane to our house....

Not with the caravan on the back it isnt.

That's clever thinking, probably quite easy to implement too

If they could make that work I'd be seriously impressed.

Don’t moderns cars with the factory tow bars detect when the towbar is in use and adapt the stability control settings? Add in a few cameras - what could possibly go wrong...

Land Rover have a system for reversing with a trailer. They supply a triangular sticker about 18" high with three 4" black circles on it; when affixed to the front of the horse trailer / caravan, the car's camera can use it to work out the trailer's position and steer accordingly. I've seen it in use but never tried one myself - it was part of a fairly expensive option pack which my old boss declined to add to the Disco Commercials.
