Whoops heading should read £60M.

The £60M was from a Surrey CC spokesman at a residents meeting yesterday.

says "The project is being funded by a Private Finance Initiative grant worth £73.9 million from central government. "

( Mods Please can you tweek the heading to read £60M ? Thanks)

Exactly Pugugly.

When this dimmer switch turns down the lights does it turn down the output from the power stations too ?
If it has been generated it has to be used as it cannot be stored anywhere.

Energy/electric that is generated over night is stored for use the next day. The Dinorwic power station in North Wales does exactly this. It pumps water up in the night and then can release the water to turn a turbine when needed.
