Just saw this weeks "Click" on BBC and they had a piece on driverless cars and had a stint in one being developed by a Chinese company in China.
There are, apparently, many poor quality drivers in China and the car was learning how to deal with them. One instance had a driver on the wrong side of the road and the driverless car seemed to cope with that, though the other driver corrected their position too.
Quite a good testing ground I would have thought/
