FIAT Scudo - Where's the glowplug light? - FotheringtonTomas
When starting this Scudo, I'm supposed to turn the key and wait for a light to go out. I can't see the light on the dash. Where is it?

you may find the correct manual at the bottom of this lot:

but you'll need a log on to do it.

Arr, that looks useful - I have the handbook, but re-reading on screen shows that the glow plug indicator may be shown alongside the "miles 'till next service" display, when the key is at an intermediate setting - I will look again. TYVM.

I don't know about the Scudo but on my new Volvo S40 the glow plug indicator light goes out almost instantly - if you are not actually looking for it you wouldn't even notice.

There is no real pause - you can simply turn the key through to the start position and the car fires instantly.

This contrasts to older diesels I've owned when you had a definate 3 second pause until the light went out and if you forgot to wait the car wouldn't start.

>> There is no real pause

I think a lot of the modern ones are activated on drivers door opening
