Motorcycle show that is, hacked down to the show at the NEC yesterday. Good (of expensive) day out. Ate off site to save a fortune. Seems to have slimmed down considerably since I was down there last two years ago. For me the highlights of the show were the CCM Spitfire - beautifully made British bike crafted near Manchester. I was sorely tempted and came close to putting a deposit on one for delivery for my 60th. Only wise words of caution stopped me ! Next star was the Norton 650s - priced to come in around the 10k mark - superb looking hi tech machines wrapped in a very traditional shape and style...my wallet twitched I have to confess. Some superb looking bikes, many from UK makers. Traffic wasn't bad around Birmingham, which was a bonus.
