Apple Maps were around my neck of the woods a couple of months ago.

I was out gardening at the time. The van pulled up next to the garden fence and the passenger asked me for directions. He was wondering if he could get out at the end of the road or not? Unbeknown to him, he was in a cul-de-sac.

I was so tempted to tell him to try looking it up on Google Maps ;)

Not streetview but a camera car for either Tom Tom or Garmin - cannot remember now - passed us walking from our favourite French campsite just outside Le Mont Dore to the nearby Auberge for a meal.

Never found the image though.

Yep! I had to stop outside another 49 of them as well on that job, the female sixth form colleges were the most interesting.

Can you have a street view on Apple Maps on the iphone and if so, how do you do it?

Can do it fine on google maps.

Not that I know of Bobby. I think the closest you can get is an animation of Big Ben's clock hands, and the London Eye going round. Not sure if other landmarks have any animation or not?

On a view of our road Mrs H is to be seen meticulously painting a window frame on our house. She appears to have been at it since April 2009. My current car, aged 5, is also visible with the trailer I used for my gardening round.

Mrs F was caught (as was our lease C5) on the front patio of a house we use when visiting family in the Cotswolds... on her phone as usual.

We only visit there a couple of times a year... what were the chances.
