He didn’t know who was driving the car at the time? According to that article there were only two candidates so it’s not exactly Sherlock territory to find out. Disregarded the letters, already had lots of points make prizes.

Why shouldn't he be?

He is paid to play footy.

That's all.

He might be incredibly lucky and be very intelligent. Or he might not. It doesn't make any difference to his footballing capabilities.
