Initial reports were lacking in detail as to nature of allegation and my initial thought was that the offence might refer to something allegedly done professionally as a solicitor.

Surely after the Huhn/Price debacle nobody, least of all somebody in the public eye, would be stupid enough....

Elected last year so could be historic events.

Edit - more details appearing on the link - brother is co-defendant, and relates to events in June, July, and August 2017.

"The charges allege they intended to pervert the course of justice by driving a vehicle in excess of the speed limit, falsely informing the investigating authorities that a third party had been the driver and enabling them, as a consequence, to avoid such prosecution and punishment"

Potentially more like the case I linked above than Huhn et al.
