I have to say, I assumed thats how it worked already, and that that was why there was a limit on pay at pump transactions. You learn something every day!

I queried this yonks ago and discovered they take 99p to confirm your card's valid.

I suspect this is a non-sequitor about someone trying to find their 'fifteen minutes of fame'.
