If there is easy access directly to the battery then there is no problem.
Son's Audi Q5 has the battery buried deep under the floor etc. of the boot.
The Q5 has small flip up panel in the engine compartment, just in front of the windscreen in the centre. This has a collection of positive connections all bolted to a connector.
On the top of one of the damper turrets is a battery terminal sized stub for the earth connection.
The shortcoming ? The small leads on both my unit and his expensive much more powerful unit are too short to bridge to those two connection points.
I need to make a 12" black jumper lead extension .

glad to see you are still alive and kicking H.
The Batteries (there are two) in my Beemer are under the not accessible boot floor. There are battery connection points under the bonnet, they are, fortunately, to one side and about 12 inches apart.

Thank you sires!
The Batteries (there are two) in my Beemer
I am aware the Maybach also has two batteries.
I was asked.
When using an external charger or more specifically a C-TeC type device what is the procedure?
I guess it is attach it to the provided terminals and let the car sort it.

I haven't jump-started a car for decades. I thought decent batteries made the practice as obsolete as starting handles.

>>I haven't jump-started a car for decades.
Best RTFM before attempting it on a modern car ( my 98 Mondeo had not standard instructions)
Not sure if the call out guys pay attention to it.
Sons car recently had a flat battery.
I/we totally failed when trying to get it running.
The RAC after a lot of trying got it running.
No idea what caused the problem and has been operating as normal ever since.

Any earth will do, you don't need to use the provided terminal post. The alternator bracket works fine in SWMBOs MINI (only so far for giving a jump, not receiving one, I should add)
