The county council said "We will investigate as soon as the weather improves"
Ah, bless them. They mustn't venture from their offices until it gets warmer.

I live near Worlds End, but I've never been there in case I drop off the end.

That's funny, I live near World's End too - I thought it was a just a warning to people approaching Aylesbury.

The end of your world as you know it comes tomorrow, I am dog training at Wilstone.
|
I might have looked in but I'm going to Portsmouth!
Wilstone shop will do you a sausage bap and a tea in the morning if you ask them nicely. The Half Moon is OK for lunch.
|
Incidentally, keep an eye on your car. Somebody made off with a Range Rover from the Wilstone village hall car park at a dog training session last year. With dogs on board IIRC. Key might have been left in it.

Some years ago a village on the A428 (may have been Crick, perhaps Brompt can confirm) had 'twinned with Ulan Bator' added to the village sign. Made me smile.
|
This one's been going for years; even fooled me when I first moved here!

There's a small, grass airstrip at Eaton Bray, Bedfordshire: goo.gl/maps/Xpk7dumozzL2 A colleague once made a planned landing with a light aircraft on a flight from the continent and had to meet customs officials there.
Does that make it an 'international' airport?
