I was in for an Mot - it was ok, no advisories.
Customer had "last rights" on his granddaughter' car - manifold crack, dodgy Cat / exhaust.
It goes well enough & she had had it for 3 years - cost of fixing exceeds likely value.
Looked OK in the carpark - a real shame it will be scrapped unless someone else buys it who happens to be "good with the spanners" can solve the problems.

I bought a Kia Pride for fifty quid like that. Needed new front pads, wheel bearing and part exhaust. I had it for six years and used it for off-road competition whilst keeping it road legal.
Eventually put the diff through the gearbox housing on a trial. Got another gearbox for fifty quid, but then health caused me to give up competition. Got a new MOT and flogged it for £400 (never raced or rallied ;>)
