Back in the last century, when we were about 21 years old, in the early days of Thatcher, one of the girls in our "crowd" was temporarily on the dole. Sometime around then she took up with a bloke who had a, then new, Ferrari. It was quite weird seeing her being dropped off by him to sign on.
