Ah. Sigh. I used to own this one. It was red, in a shonky old state, did 8mpg, and I liked it a lot.

Passed from my hands, got forgotten about - and now look. Crikey.

I had an olde English white with red leather int. XJ6 back in the day, not a coupé though, unfortunately.

Tuned and drove rather a lot of them o'er the years though, owners luved 'em and wouldn't let anybuddy else touch 'em ... except yours truly :o

What an engine! (pic 7) if it had wings it would surely fly.

When I had this one pressing the accelerator engendered more fear than excitement, as it made a convincing impression of imminent explosion.

Add in scuttle shake that bore a similarity to the watusi and white knuckles were inevitable, while everyone else roared past at 40.
