Spain, specifically. I'm thinking about taking my old Mum to Spain for a week this Spring....sharing a villa with my brother & SiL so we can take turns in being tee total!

From what I've read, it seems straight forward enough using a UK issued BB in Spain. The Tourist Info office is closed for the season so I am unable to get any info from them...anybody used a BB in Spain and anything I should be aware of please?

Whilst it should work in Spain I am aware of one whelchair user who had displayed correctly (and. to the best of their knowledge parked correctly), who was towed away from outside a hotel in Barcelona.

Missed flight home, all turned into a rather expensive weekend! So advice can only to be ultra cautious when leaving the vehicle.

The answer may be here:

Not read but I'd guess that like reciprocal healthcare it doesn't extend UK provision abroad but gives same rights as nationals of country being visited.

So while badge holders might have rights on yellow lines in UK that won't necessarily apply in restricted roads in another country.
