I've paid subs to Autoaid for several years now. Never needed to claim ... oooh that's tempting fate!
Only had one 'event' when the alternator failed on the 330 and it wouldn't start. But jump leads and a new alternator sorted that minor inconvenience.
I cba shopping around, and for £42.50 I'll stay with them for a further year

Not sure you would get it much cheaper than that- looks a good deal to me depending on what it covers

Autoaid have always been great with me the few times I've used them over the years. The last couple of times they didn't ask for me to pay up front and reclaim, I was told they were trialling the traditional way of just them paying the contractors directly. Not sure if it was nationwide or if the policy still stands.

The policyholder driving any vehicle. Up to six passengers and onward transport to their destination. Includes trailer & caravan. One nights accommodation. Home start, up to £65 max benefit.
Decent value
I think Pat uses these people?

Yes we've used Autoaid for some time now but to be fair, we've never had to claim (touch wood!) so it's had to judge them I suppose.

I feel happier paying just £42.50 for something I'm unlikely to use though than the £90+ most of the others wanted and it's not a problem to pay upfront and claim back later.

You can now expect feedback on Autoaid within the week ... Sods Law.

A family member has called them out twice for a flat battery (in 2 different cars). Each time a local contractor turned up within the hour and got it going. No payment was requested either time.

Highly recommend AutoAid.

I've been using QDOS for the past couple of years following Mondial Assistance's decision to switch from the RAC to AA as part of my then VW Extended Warranty package. I just renew the warranty now and buy the breakdown cover from QDOS (£62 last year).

I've been with www.startrescue.co.uk/ for about a year and haven't broken down once so it must be good.

I've been with Start rescue, too.
Used once at home with duff battery. Good response time and service.
Nice little mobile app, giving location if on the road, is available.
I've just had a note of the renewal cost which is, net of a £5.50 loyalty bonus, £49.50.
Last year, our first with them, was £55.00.
Not worth looking around, so I'll renew.
