Terrible.
All the cheese and bacon would slip down to the lower edge of the pizza, and it would be a real mess.

A fool tries a wheelie on a scooter on a public road and falls off.
And it makes national news? And his employer makes a statement to the BBC about an investigation?
Just as b***** well YouTube, Twitter and a bored BBC didn't exist when I was young and dumb.
|
But were you being young and dumb in your own time, or in works time? And with your own equipment or theirs?
|
Undoubtedly both. And often, I'm sure.
Still unworthy *national* news.

Thinking more about it, surely everybody has done dumb stuff when they first started work?
I can think of incidents involving tractors, ploughs, fork lifts, welding kit, hay bales, electric fences, company vans, company minibuses and so very much more.
Maybe I was just worse than everybody else.

Come on then, don't be shy.

Yep! so can I! - many Moons ago when I worked in the Farming trade, "the Boss" bought a couple of loads of straw from a Neighbor. We at the time had just started two Agricultural students to give us a hand at Haytime, and these were sent to load it up and cart it back, should have taken not much longer than a couple of hours. When they failed to show up for dinner, Boss and I went to find them to see what was taking so long. They had tried to get both loads on the same trailer, and when they came to the low railway bridge they found they couldn't get under it! Rather than turn around and use the next lane which had a Crossing, they had thrown off the top five rounds of bales, driven under the bridge, and were in the process of carrying each bale under the bridge and re-stacking the trailer on the other side. When they finally got back to the farm, they then discovered that the trailer was too high to fit in the barn door, so once again they had to chuck off the top five rounds and carry them into the barn before they could get the trailer in! - talk about making hard work!!!
|
Come to think about it, they must have had a "thing" about doubling up! - A few weeks later they were sent with LRover and trailer to pick up some sheep that boss had just bought at the Auction mart. When we backed up to the field gate and dropped the tail-board, twice as many sheep ran out than he had bought! - half a day wasted rounding them all up, sorting them out and returning the extra's to the Auction.

Nope, just you ;)

I managed to set fire to a Bedford CF van and a Triumph 2000 + burn out the wiring loom on a Polski Fiat and reverse a Minivan into some scaffolding but, other than that, nuffink at all really.
8-)

I tried to take a van with a ladder rack on the roof into a multi storey. It passed under the height restriction bar (just), but smashed the fluorescents that were a little lower.

...and the Calzone was invented

Yup, I certainly did. But that was before the world was full of belly-laughing boneheads addicted to Youtube.
When I see what has become of my trade(s) since I managed to escape it's enough to bring on the tears...
