We appear, adapting the words of a previous Information Commissioner, to have sleepwalked into a surveillance society.

It's no surprise though. Also they track and keep every internet page you visit, and your mobile phone locations are kept. Your ATM usage, wherever you spend on your credit card, it's all tracked. It's nigh impossible to cover your tracks these days, in case you were to have the need to.

It strikes me as strange that on one hand people get upset about "invasion of privacy" by such things as ANPR cameras and security cameras in stores and at the same time stick dashcams in their car and post all sort of details about their live on social media
People are odd really.
