 Hidden potholes - Armel Coussine
There are a few of these in our lanes, in the nearside gutter and often half-hidden by undergrowth. You have to know where they are and be willing to stop sometimes for someone coming the other way. Just banging and graunching through the potholes will damage yr alloys and tyres and may put the front tracking out.

Herself says I should tell the council but I'm sure it knows already. The odd spot of new tarmac appears from time to time, but not often enough really.

Makes it easier than writing a letter. Worth doing.

It works on the liability driven mindset. If nobody has told them, and they couldn't reasonably know about it, then they are not liable for bent wheels, concussed cyclists etc.

If they have been told, they must repair it in a reasonable time or they are likely to be liable for claims.

It seems to work on our lot.
