Made in the IOM? - legacylad
A friend of mine, and close neighbour of my old Mum's, had his car written off in the recent floods. I offered him the use of mine as I am overseas for a few months, but he declined.
Yesterday I asked the oldie if anything new had turned up on his drive yet... It's normally something tasty, his previous was a 235i.
Oh yes she says, it's got a sign on the front like the 'three legs of man'. Made me laugh to myself. She should know it was a MB because she drove around in a couple I had many years ago and used to joke with her about the three pointed star on the bonnet being an optional extra to aim at things.

He likes tasty, you say. Perhaps his next car will have been made in Kent.

More likely Affalterbach, the home of AMG.
I strongly suspect an AMG A45.... Will find out soon enough

Not a Peel then?

IIRC there was a car made in the IOM pre-war. Possibly named after their parliament, Tynwald?

Clarkson drove a Peel around inside the BBC offices, didn't he?

It is an AMG A45. All 380 horses. Elbaite Green colour and looked very meaty in the gathering dusk as I arrived home today, spanking new on a 65 plate.
Not sure about the roof spoiler though....
Now, when can I have a drive in it please mister?

Real men don't drive cars you can't take a load of stuff to the tip in. Anything small with a big engine is for lounge lizards and medallion wearers. If they're not near their car or have their medallions hidden they always give themselves away by their slip on shoes or the really covert ones by their too ostentatious pen.

;-)

Real men have a trailer to take stuff to the tip. And know how to reverse it. Which rules me out.
My exex used to tek stuff t'tip in one of our VW transporters.
Some people aspire to be a two van family. Luxury.
