 Sales by manufacturer & model breakdown 2015/16 - Falkirk Bairn
Every month you are made aware of most popular cars sold in UK - hevily weighted by day rent cars I may add.

Is there any site that gives you the breakdown by manufacturer, by model,

eg BMW Series 3, diesels, petrols, manuals, auto etc etc

Tried google but found a lot of dead ends or irrelevant sites.

Worth a rummage around the SMMT website perhaps.

I doubt you'll find breakdowns as far as model specs.

I've never seen any level of detail but I guess it probably exists somewhere. You even see splits of private / fleet sales reported sometimes.

As well as the by manufacturer data from SMMT, I think they also note the top 10 models each month in ther news release.

Are you just looking for UK registrations?
If so, howmanyleft gives an indication of how many were licensed.
